"잘 나갈 때 함께 즐거워하고 함께 웃음을 나누던 사람들, 막상 어려움에 처하자 다 떠나가고 없더라."

이런 말을 살아가면서 듣는 경우가 있습니다. 곁에 많던 그 사람들, 진정 나를 좋아한 것이 아니라 내 조건을 따른 것이라고 합니다. 내가 어려울 때 남은 이가 진정한 벗이라고 말들을 합니다.

그러나 아닐 겁니다. 사람 마음이 그렇게 간사하지만은 않을 겁니다. 떠난 사람도 그만한 사정이 있을 겁니다. 우정을 시험한다는 것이 비극입니다. 누구도 시험하지 않는 평탄한 삶의 연속이기를 바랄 뿐입니다.
